A Bit Leftfield

Hello!

So…about our small range.

I've made sure that the range despite being small, works. It has to or its a pointless task. I've made sure we dont follow suit of other, especially the 'names' -  if you truly want an edge in your fishing, don’t’ do what others do - simple, I've repeated this to people many times, but, its the out and out truth of the matter.

For more perspective, myself and my best mate have always said, and to coin a phrase, ' if you aren't in fashion, you'll never be out of fashion', and thats the way I see our bait. IncQbait will always be outside of the box, I'm ignorant and remain so to pretty much most brand products out there. If the team mention one, I may have to ask what they are talking about. I'm only aware of certain bait products. Currently, I keep hearing 'prawn this and that' right now, well, but I've been using prawn in its form of belachan ingredients in our bait since i started making them, and from a very well known source, its deadly, and if people are just getting prawn into their heads now, I guess that makes me part captain of the boat :)

With this said, yes, we have a squid flavour, like other companies do, but as an eye opener, I'd never even heard of 'Nash’s Scopex squid' until long after I'd made and used my first squid flavoured pop up. I am without doubt in a bubble. But the truth remains - I'm just not watching what others do nor trying to re-create their products - its pointless. I refuse to be influenced or copy. Anglers have confidence in baits that work for them and some don't - and are constantly jumping from one to the next - it does and will get confusing.

But to all anglers reading this, our range has been tested outright, from one end of the country to the other, with big trips to french lakes, catching large unknowns.  The proof is in the gallery here

Everything is made with purpose, outight, from pop-ups to boilies. I’m kind of old school, I don’t use a flavour/ingredient for the sake of it.  Even our pop ups include a more natural state of essences found bank side, others, may contain a more an artificial flavouring, which is what most lure style baits have. It would cost too much to garner the flavours in a natural state - for even the biggest brands

For those who follow our endeavours, our boilie range will be increasing in the next year as we move forward. As a hint, we currently have both the new ranges on test with possible pop ups in the works. Its been a while coming to increase the range, as its about looking ahead as a small company, and what’s feasible.  The advantage of being small, it helps keep the ingredients running as freshly as possible, its all in short bursts, we run low, we order more, and so on. Its as fresh as we can make it -  Our newest boilie is a very bespoke bait, a little special in its own right, I think it contains 3 of what I would call regular boilie ingredients, then after that, forget it - it goes very leftfield...so much so, since testing begain in February this year, the fish seem to love it more and more, maybe its just the choice in the menu for them, its not 'another fish meal' nor is it a 'milk protein' type food source.

The test phase for the new bait will go on for a while yet within the team, we have more team members now so it gets tested more often for catch consistencies. However we will keep social posts updated when we feel it necessary as sometimes things can fall into place sooner than we expect.

Until then, enjoy the upcoming autumn big feed -

Jay
